What the company is

A privately owned principal-investment company established in the United Arab Emirates, providing the Middle East investment capability within a wider multi-jurisdictional corporate structure.

What it currently does

It identifies, evaluates and, where its criteria are met.

Whose capital it uses

Its own, exclusively.

What it does not offer

No investment products, no advisory or brokerage services, no deposit-taking, no management of anyone else's portfolio, no custody of anyone else's assets.

Where it is established

The United Arab Emirates, at the centre of the trade and capital corridors the company works across, with the professional, banking and logistics infrastructure that cross-border transactions require.

How it relates to the structure

Orivo is one of four operating companies reporting into a shared governance and stewardship framework provided by three US entities. The full structure is set out on the corporate structure page.

Operating model

What the company is, and is not

The distinction below is the spine of the business. It is stated the same way in every document the company issues.

The company does

  • Act as a self-directed principal investor, deploying proprietary capital and assets for its own account
  • Conduct internal investment evaluation on its own proprietary interests
  • Engage appropriately authorised third-party institutions and advisers where regulated banking, brokerage, custody, legal or other professional services are required
  • Undertake any activity that becomes regulated in a relevant jurisdiction only through the appropriate authorised entity or professional provider

The company does not

  • Solicit or accept funds from retail or outside investors for collective investment
  • Pool third-party investor capital or operate a public investment fund
  • Manage discretionary client portfolios or take custody of client investment funds
  • Offer its institutional relationships as a service available to third parties
  • Present itself as a third-party fund manager, adviser or arranger

How we work

Independent by construction, not by preference.

No external investor determines what we review, when we commit, or how long we hold.

Principles

How the company operates

Independence

Decisions driven by the company's own objectives and resources, never a fundraising cycle or an external investor mandate.

Agility

A small decision surface: assess independently, move selectively, and retain control over timing, structure and execution.

Discipline

Ownership, documentation, counterparty credibility, commercial logic and a route to completion, established before commitment.

Confidentiality

Sensitive holdings, relationships and transaction information are managed on a controlled, need-to-know basis.

Long-term view

Value creation over transaction volume; holding periods follow the asset rather than a calendar.

Professional execution

Regulated services are engaged from appropriately authorised institutions and advisers, transaction by transaction.

Leadership

Executive leadership

Zaya Dad

Chief Executive Officer, Orivo LLC

Zaya provides executive leadership across Orivo's international activities, with responsibility for strategic direction, proprietary investment relationships, key counterparty relationships and the coordination of cross-border initiatives.

Within the wider structure he holds the equivalent role at GFF Canada Ltd and Off-Plan Crypto.

Leadership information is presented at a high level for corporate purposes. Detailed professional credentials and transaction-specific responsibilities are provided to counterparties where appropriate.

Collective strength across the structure

The wider structure is led by a team combining principal-investment leadership, investment-banking experience, legal and strategic advisory capability, and cross-border relationship development.

Leadership of the United States entities sits with Larry Franklin, Chief Executive Officer of LF Trading Group LLC and of the Velaryn entities, who brings more than twenty years of investment-banking experience.

Legal and strategic advisory support on international transactions, documentation and cross-border commercial matters is provided through the structure's advisers and external counsel.
